Mount Pleasant Heritage Home Lift & Luxury Duplex Transformation
Mount Pleasant Character Home Transformation
This major renovation and structural relocation transformed a historic 1910 character home in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighborhood into a thoughtfully designed 3,000 sq. ft. front-and-back duplex development.
The original home was carefully stripped back to its structural framework before being professionally lifted and relocated four feet across the property to accommodate the new design and maximize the functionality of the lot. Blending heritage character with modern construction, the project required extensive structural upgrades, detailed planning, and precision execution throughout every phase of the build.
The completed development delivers two beautifully finished residences that preserve the timeless architectural charm of the original home while incorporating contemporary layouts, high-end finishes, and modern living standards.
This project reflects Crana Construction’s expertise in complex renovations, structural moves, and premium residential transformations throughout Vancouver.

General Contractor

Crana Construction was commissioned for a basement renovation and some exterior stair work. John and Michael were professional and assisted with both creative solutions that met the budget and timeline. We had a surprise mold issue when walls were opened up and John brought to my attention right away and worked with me on options to fix it. They brought in his team of subs that were equally detailed and professional, Paul, Mack, and Dave. Thanks to Paul, stairs were finished even in the midst of pouring rain. Professional, collaborative and honest I would highly recommend them for any future renovations.
