Second Storey Addition & Complete Home Transformation
Project Bruce involved the complete transformation of an existing East Vancouver home through the addition of a full second storey and extensive structural upgrades. The homeowners wanted to create additional living space for their growing family while remaining in the neighbourhood they loved.
The project began with the careful demolition of the existing roof and selective demolition of the main floor. Crana Construction then completed significant structural modifications, re-framing the existing home to support a brand-new upper level. Our team constructed the new second floor, including exterior walls, roof framing, and all supporting structural components.
In addition to the building expansion, the project included exterior upgrades, landscaping, and custom concrete work to enhance both the functionality and curb appeal of the property. The new design seamlessly integrates with the existing structure while delivering the space, comfort, and modern features of a much larger home.
The result is a beautifully expanded family residence that combines thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and long-term value in one of East Vancouver’s most established neighbourhoods.

Crana Construction was commissioned for a basement renovation and some exterior stair work. John and Michael were professional and assisted with both creative solutions that met the budget and timeline. We had a surprise mold issue when walls were opened up and John brought to my attention right away and worked with me on options to fix it. They brought in his team of subs that were equally detailed and professional, Paul, Mack, and Dave. Thanks to Paul, stairs were finished even in the midst of pouring rain. Professional, collaborative and honest I would highly recommend them for any future renovations.
